A Career Dedicated to Florida Family Law

Michael Parisi has dedicated his legal career exclusively to family law, helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most personal and challenging legal matters. From divorce and child custody disputes to paternity actions, child support litigation, domestic violence injunctions, emergency hearings, and complex financial issues, he has spent more than a decade advocating for clients across South Florida.
His practice is built on a simple philosophy: every client deserves strategic legal representation, honest guidance, and an attorney who remains personally invested throughout every stage of the case.

Extensive Courtroom Experience

Before founding Parisi Family Law, P.A., Michael spent more than seven years as a Senior Attorney at Sidweber & Weintraub, P.A., where he represented clients in a wide range of family law matters, including high-net worth divorces, high-conflict parenting disputes, post-judgment modifications, contempt proceedings, attorney's fees litigation, and complex financial discovery.
Earlier in his career, Michael served as a Prosecutor for Florida's Department of Children and Families in Miami-Dade County. During that time, he successfully tried more than twenty cases on behalf of the State of Florida, including termination of parental rights, developing courtroom experience, litigation skills, and trial preparation that continue to benefit his clients today.

Leadership Within Florida's Family Law Community

Michael is widely recognized as an active leader within South Florida's family law community. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association, where he collaborates with attorneys and judges to promote professionalism, improve practice standards, discuss developments in Florida family law, and help provide continuing legal education for fellow attorneys.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Family Law Inn of Court,  and is an active member of The Florida Bar Family Law Section.His commitment to the legal profession extends beyond representing clients.  It includes helping strengthen the practice of family law throughout South Florida.

Publications, Speaking Engagements & Professional Recognition

Michael is a published author and contributor to The Florida Bar's Dissolution of Marriage, writing the Child Support chapter for both the 15th and 16th editions, one of Florida's leading family law reference publications.
He has presented at the Broward County Bar Association Family Law Section’s premier events, Nuts and Bolts of Family Law, and Raising The Bar.  He also has presented at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs for attorneys on topics including Combating Implicit Bias in Family Law, The Overlap of Family Law and Real Property Law, and Voir Diring  Financial Experts at Trial. In 2025, Michael was honored by the Miami-Dade Family Law Inn of Court with an Achievement Award recognizing his professionalism, performance, and collaboration within the legal community.

Education

Michael was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo in 2011, earning a double major in Political Science and Sociology.
He later relocated to Florida, where he earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year.

Serving Families Beyond the Courtroom

Outside of his legal practice, Michael remains committed to serving the South Florida community through pro bono family law services and continued involvement in professional organizations dedicated to improving access to justice and advancing the practice of family law. When he is away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
